I have been living just outside Miltown in County Kerry for the last 9 years having previously lived in Naas, County Kildare. Throughout the 1990's I worked as a wedding photographer in the Kildare area in the days before digital when a wedding shoot consisted of 45 images in total to capture the wedding day. As a result I still take the time to set up and ensure that I capture your special day in the best possible way.
I have also spent 6 years working in Computer Software and this has been a great benefit to me as a Photographer in that I have a great understanding of the various software packages needed to compliment my photography skills. Great photographs today require an excellent knowledge of the best photographic software available and how to use these to get the best prints possible. It is no longer up to the processing lab to do this for us. I am a member of SWPP, a London based society where I have won several Gold Awards for my photographs.
My style of photography is a mix of reportage and traditional. I like to keep the day moving as natural as possible while stopping now and again to set up the formal shots. A typical wedding would begin as the bride is getting ready with her bridesmaids. Then a rush to get the groom and groomsmen at the church. During the ceremony I like to keep in the background as much as possible while getting up close for the main parts. After the church I typically have a couple of senic locations lined up to photograph the happy couple and bridal party before heading to the hotel. If the weather is particularly bad I have a mobile studio with me which I can set up at the hotel so you're guaranteed great photographs no matter what is happening outside. Usually I finish up by posing the couple with the cake before the reception begins. But all these options and more can be altered to suit your requirements.
All photographs on this Website are just an indication of the final print quality. The colour and brightness are dependent on your monitor and I recommend that before you book any photographer you should see the final prints in reality. I provide a wide choice of wedding albums from Traditional bound leather to coffee table/storybook style including top of the range albums from GraphiStudio in Italy. All Wedding packages also include a DVD Slideshow with approximately 200 images. If you've already seen an album that you like there is a good chance that I can obtain it for you. I believe that my prices are very reasonable. As my main photographic interests are Landscapes and Weddings, I don't need a central base in town (although I have a mobile studio setup if needed). Apart from taking the images on the wedding day it can also take up to 3 full days enhancing these photos and designing the storybook album.
